I added a Yellow nose goby "prawn goby" to my 60 gal reef. I have about 100lbs of live rock so there are many places for him to hide. My problem is I have not seen him once since I put him in 2 weeks ago. Do these goby's ussually burrow under sand and rock or do they live above the substrate? Do they typically stay at the bottom or do they swim throughout the tank? I have used the flashlight every night trying to find him and of course during the day.
Thanks,
Jared

I have the very similar high-fin goby in a 40gal with a pistol shrimp and he tends to stay out of the way most of the time. They do live in burrows which they will dig themselves without a shrimp partner. They also tend to stay very near the bottom. If you feed live brineshrimp it may make him swim out into the open.
