Does anyone know where I can find a yellow or white toadstool leather in the Bay Area of Cali? I have looked everywhere and called almost all the lfs I can find and nobody seem to have one. Anyone have any pointer on where I can pick one up beside online sites. I dont like buying something I cant see in person. Or if anyone have any frags they want to sell.

Just a word or caution, most white corals are bleached and very unhealthy. If your looking for a yellow toadstool like a Yellow Fiji Leather Coral (Sarcophyton elegans) you could buy one from virtually every online livestock retailer. Hope this helps.

Yellow fiji leather or elegans toadstool as they are commonly called are the only truly yellow toadstool that I'm aware of. They actually hold their color as well. Most every other "yellow" toadstool on the market is either dyed or naturally more golden tan colored at best. Many end up being tan or brown. Either way, online sources like Liveaquaria's divers den are great places to buy from. Maybe there's someone else on here that has seen a truly yellow toadstool that wasn't an elegans toadstool.

I have also seen toadstool with only yellow polyps and I cant seem to find them anywhere in the bay area. I dont think any of these are dyed. I already found a white tip toadstool.

Yea I'm familiar with those. I had one over 14 inches across that I continually fraged before I lost it about a year ago now. They look yellowish in their photo and under some lighting but almost always end up more golden brown. They are so common here in Maine that even all the Petco's sell them. Still a cool toadstool though. Hope you have luck finding one locally but if not then Vivid aquariums is definitely a reputable source to buy one.

I have a gorgeous yellowish/green toadstool with white polyps. No tan, no dye, not dying. Have had it forever and grew it back from a tiny speck left behind on a rock

i'll agree with ryan, most will turn a brown color. mine started out that color and after time and growth turned out like this.
you should frag me a piece of that toadstool. That is one of the most beautiful looking one I seen so far.

None the less your toadstool is still beautiful. The color looks kinda pink, still better then some of the ugly dark brown ones i seen at some lfs. I cant wait until mine gets that big.

yeah I wish I still had that leather, loved the shape and color but I donated it a couple years ago to our public aquarium when I had to tear the tank down. this is the one I have now from fosters and smith, still a little young.

what shop do you recommend me checking out in stockton?
did you order the Fiji, Indonesia, or Maricultured one? I also called them up and they said that they cant guarantee any colors and they just ship whatever their supplier has.
Why dont you just sell me yours?
