today i was at my pet store and found out thay a true maroon clown will always have yellow stripes. and he also said that they have the same name(Premnas biaculeatus). is this true iv never heard of this and thought mabey you will. thanks
Depending on where they are from, it will either have a white bar or yellow bar, aka gold stripe maroon. They do have the same name of Premnas Biaculeatus, but never refered to as true/false.
IMO there is no such thing as a "true" maroon clownfish. They are all the same genus. It's really a difference of where in the world they are from. Please see here: http://wetwebmedia.com/maroonclnart.htm
