I am going out of town this weekend and wont be able to attend this months swap. I still have coral for sale though. I give discounts for multiples and all are on live rock. I'm near Walmart on Corridor G.
These are very easy to maintain coral and adds some motion to your tank. Maintained under PC lighting.
I have near 1000 to chose from. All different amount of polyps on each rock. Very healthy tank and pest free to my knowledge.
I also have an add in the add bulliten.
Polyps are almost 1.5" across.
Sorry, no pics.

I'm all for local hobbyists making a buck or two to fund there hobby, we all do it but this almost sounds like a commercial post, be careful, we don't do that here. If you have not read the RC TOS and the CVRC TOS I suggest you do so before you run into any trouble.

I know the seller. This is not a commercial post.
That's cool but still one rule on reef central is
For Sale threads are only allowed in the specific selling forums or within the club forums. New members must contribute to the Reef Central community before using our resources to sell their items.

I actually am a premium member of RC. I lost my old email account and can not figure out how to change things to my new email address.
I cant retrieve any messages from my old account and I have forgotten my old password. Can anyone help?
My previous login name was cdbias2.

I thought you looked familiar :D

I think this will work. To get your password e-mail a mod "modname@reefcentral"
ie dc@reefcentral.com or geo@reefcentral.com tell them what happened and give them your old and new e-mail addresses.

You could also post in the feedback section and a mod should help.

Oh once you can login change your e-mail address in your RC control panel.

I found this statement on the web @ AB about this genus. It really is a nice coral for a softie.

This mainstay species used to be known as parazoanthus gracilis. I believe its current taxonomy is still unclear. Regardless, a pretty, fast growing polyp in bright yellow.

Takers?

Come on guys.
$2 coral, many still available.
Who can beat this?
All on live rock naturally.

It could be because most people in the hobby consider yellow polyps to be more of a weed than a coral. The worst thing I ever did was put those in my tank.

Hey LowCel, haven't seen you around for awhile. Are you really in between tanks?
I'd rather have weeds than no tank at all.
I met you one time in JM's and you were selling some of your weeds. Zenia!

Yep bruce and Matt used ot trade Xenia at Jo-Mars weekly LOL. I think they both paid for there tank with the credit from it but that was some time ago when the stuf was a bit more "rare". It's actually there fault along with mine that xenia is so cheap now LOL.

Curtis, nothing against trying to sell yellow polyps on here but the problem is most of the people who follow the forum either already have them or do not want them. IMO, The reason for this is people on this forum are more dedicated hobyists than most people who have just started a reef tank. I would assume you would have a much better chance of selling yellow polyps to new hobbyists who would be thrilled just to see a coral live and thrive in there new systems. So in short, I think you would have a much better response to your sell on the selling forum or at a swap.

BTW, does anyone need any xenia?

Good Luck!

Actually, I have two tanks at the moment that are keeping me very happy.

As for selling the Xenia you are abosolutely correct. What you fail to realize is that I also gave away countless amounts of it not to mention several hundreds of dollars worth of other corals. I also donated quite a few corals to the meetings to use to demonstrate fragging. I also gave away corals to new members and to members that wanted to try different types of corals in their systems. So, before you start challenging my character get the facts straight. I'm sure other members of this club will have no trouble vouching for me.

Lets not forget it wasnt cheap to originally acquire the xenia. I had to make a 6 hour round trip because i couldnt find any around. I did make out quite well by the end of it though :D

Same with the cespitularia except that took a few years to find a source and a trip to pittsburgh. Hopefully there is plenty of it around now.

Not challenging you. If I remember correctly you were practically going to give them to me as well.
I thought you were a nice guy. You were the original person that told me about reef central.
I carried you name in my wallet for a couple of years.
Why would selling Xenia be a challenge to your character. I happen to like xenia, you were the one that told me they were weeds.

You'll find out with me that there is no need to try and read between the lines.

And Phill:
I'm just trying to do the same and practically give these things away. I just couldn't bear to charge someone shipping on these. The $2 a polyp is really what I figured would, on the average, just pay for the rock they were on.
Agreed they are beginner coral, but gosh didn't everyone start there. How many times were told that things were a beginner coral and they were not.

All that being said: I'm trying to sell some coral here guys. If you dont like my coral, this isn't the place to comment.
I do appreciate all of your help though.

I got a question and I don't want anyone thinking I am trying to stir the pot!

I like the yellow polyps. They were in my group of beginning corals but I don't have any now. Many of my beginning corals survived and did well! If I remember correctly, I think I bought them 3 different times. The last rock I purchased came from JoMar's. It's been a good while back.
I remember talking to Ron about the color. I have seen the BRIGHT yellow in other's tanks but I always seemed to get the "golden yellow". I've never seen the bright yellow for sale.
When I get the coral it does well once I find a place where it likes the lighting and the current. Everytime I move the rock they seem to disappear, I put them back in same spot and they still pop off the rock. Other's have told me they had the same problem. Is this one of those times when we say some folks can grow this ??? and it grows like mad for them and give it to the next guy and it disappears? And yes, I have lots of xenia, pompom xenia, and anthelia out the whazoo!

I do want to try the coral again! I sent you a PM to make arrangements for a trade.

I think the color of coral has everything to do with your light setup. I buy stuff that's one color and I get it home and it's a totally different color under my lights.

yea your right there! But, as I mentioned before I am pretty sure I was told by "people that should know" there were two different varieties.
I have always purchased the golden color since I have never seen the "bright yellow" for sale! Your probably right! It comes in bright yellow from the ocean and once it hits our synthetic water it fades to a golden yellow.
