yellow polyps

when i first got this rock it looked wonderful but it has slowly began to die off do you have any ideas on what is causing this?

if you are talking about the yellow polyps that i am thinking of then my guess would be you have good luck. they can grow out of control. how are all your other corals? If that's the only thing that's dying it may not like the flow or lighting that it's getting and moving it to another spot might help.

All other corals are doing good. i moved them to a spot with less flow they seem to be doing a bit better

those yellow parazoanthus are usually very tough and invasive growers. How long have they been in the tank? Looks like you have less now from what you have originally.

Have you noticed the blue tang nibbling around that polyp rock>?

Consider yourself lucky if you are losing a couple. I had them on rocks with my sps and they were killing the sps. They got int he cracks int he rocks and I had to put aquamend over the cracks. Yesterday during a water change I see one somehow made it out of the aquamend which was put on almost 3 weeks ago. I'm undecided which is worse- these, xenia, or kenya trees.

I had some of those that fell behind a rock and forgot about them after moving some rocks around i found them and they were still alive, very tough cookies.
