yellow rock

i bought some live rock from the LFS the other day it was pretty much brown in color like all other rocks but when put in my tank for about 2-3 days the rocks i put at the top are turning yellowish. I know there are live rock that turn red, green, or purple are there LR that turn yellow? or is it algae?

It could be algae, diatoms, or a yellow rock. You could post a pic for a better explanation.
