Yellow silicone

So i used AGA silicone in my sump to hold the baffles and I guess they werent water tight and some water got behind them. It turn yellow after a week. The yellow will rub off, kinda like flakes. But I cant get it off from under it. Do you think its from the sand? If not from sand from water? Andis it bad? All my other sumps I made the silicone turned whitish, not yellow. Any ideas? If you look close the one baffle is still clear. Wonder why?

I would love to know that exact same thing. Instead of using AGA silicone i used GE window silicone 1. I have the same yellow in my 30 G sump. My tank has been running for a few weeks and everything seems to be alive. So I am guessing it is harmless.

I thought it was algae, but theres no light on the tank or sump yet. It kinda flaked off like aglae, but it seemed like more papery. I got most of it off except whats under the silicone.
