yellow tang acting weird

My yellow tang has been acting wierd today. He has been almost "hyper". this morning he was swimming all around the tank very fast and now he is by one corner of the tank where a snail is, swishing the sand with his tail. theres a large clean spot all around the snail where he has done this. the only change I have mad is that I increased my vodka dosing last night from 0.4ml to 0.9ml.
he is eating fine. I know sometimes tangs can get aggressive so i don't know if he just doesnt like this snail or if its the increase in vodka dosing. any ideas?

Carbon dosing can lower the oxygen level in the tank. What is your pH it its high point and current dKH? Those levels are indicators of how oxygenated your water is.
