Yellow tang and longnose BF?

Hi everyone,

I am thinking of adding a yellow tang to my tank but have future plans of adding a LNBF to the tank at a later date. Would these two be compatible or would they fight (the yellow tang would be established by then).

The two fish generally are compatible. However, tangs can be aggressive to subsequently-introduced fish and thus it is best to add them to the tank last and not risk finding out that you have a tang that won't let new fish into the tank.

Put the butterfly in first. My yellow tang had to go to a new home. I think you'd probably be fine if the butterfly was introduced first.
