Yellow tang and new Huma Trigger?

I recently converted my reef into a FO with LR. I currently have a Medium sized yellow tang (1st tank inhabitant, 3 years), a Tomato clown and a Dog faced puffer.

These three get along swimmingly. I introduced a Huma Trigger to the tank last night. He is just a little bigger than the yellow tang, so I am not too concerned about his well-being. However, ever since introducing the trigger, my tang is doing the tail smash to the trigger all over the tank.

First of all, should I be too concerned? I do not want to stress the trigger, but I think he can handle his own. I was thinking I could do some rock arranging today so that the tank space can be reclaimed by all and no one will have a special spot.

Will this help?

Thanks for the insight and help,
Steve

I would say that the tang will continue to do this until the trigger is gone. I have had to give away 2 beautiful tangs due to the tail spike attacks to any and all fish small and tall. these were healthy tangs, well fed and well cared for.

Well, I hope you are wrong. I moved 1/2 the tanks rocks around today and have noticed that the tang is already much less aggressive. Hopefully he will stop completely soon.

Anyone else have any opinions on it?

Thanks,
Steve

I just wanted to report back that the huma is fine and the yellow tang has stopped hassling him completely.

Thanks everyone.

yellows will tail slap new comers for a few days . I have noticed this with my yellow . He will take on the new fish and chase and slap them but only bigger fish . the smaller less aggresive fish are a waste of his time and he doesn't bother them . aranging the rock helps to a point
