Hey all,
Newbie here. Tank is a 72 gal bowfront w/canister filter, 50 lbs live rock, 20 lbs additional rock, no skimmer (soon, I swear!), tank has been going for 8 months now. Parameters are all good except the temp is too high. The tank is in my classroom and the school system has turned off the HVAC over the summer to save money. So the tank is running well, hot, up to 84. I have one side open to help it stay cool. Chiller is not an option at this point. $$$
Anyway the tang is rough around the edges. Color is faded, fins are a little ragged and he/she now has reddish streaks. Otherwise still eating and swimming fine.
Diagnosis/Treatment with what and how? Tank has two chromis, two small perc clowns, and the tang, various inverts (hermits, snails and two soft corals).
Thanks so much
Dave
