Yellow Tang Breathing Heavy & Aggressive

I have a yellow tang that has been in the tank for about 4 months.

no new additions to the tank

the tang is breathing very heavy and is very aggressive towards himself in the glass much more so then previously... I've noticed this yesterday and progressively worse today.

I don't see anything on him at all , i've been trying to look very closely but am not able to see anything yet. I'm assuming what ever is bothering him is affecting his gills.

Should I treat with prazi even though I can't see anything?

currently in the tank are 2 ocellaris clowns, 1 yellow tang, 1 turbo snail, 2 peppermint shrimp, 1 scarlet skunk cleaner.

what's the best plan of attack here do I wait for something to show or should I be pro active and treat somehow?

I have had to treat similar before, it was coupled with flashing that was getting worse, wrasse was at the point of laying on bottom and rapid breathing, glands were swollen I couldn't get help from "pros" at the lfs, I was desperate and used API General Cure and that stuff was amazing, within 24 hours fish was 80% better from near death, day 3 was gone. Maybe it can work for your tang as well, keep us posted!

I've never seen a fish breath rapidly for extended periods of time from behavior change myself, short term from being stressed from cleaning tank, moving etc... hopefully one of the vest will chime in on that. I use the rule of thumb, if you think there is something wrong there most likely is, some parasites attach to gills and make it hard for fish to breath so they speed it up to compensate, that's why I got lucky with the treatment, was parasite based.

Thanks for the help. I'm going to wait the night , observe in the morning and most likely treat with prazi pro ... I've had great results with it in the past.
