Yellow Tang Color

Is it normal for a yellow tang to be pale at night? My yellow tang is pale yellow when I turn the lights on in the morning but, gets his color back after the lights are on a while. It seems like he loses some color when he sleeps.

I was just wondering because he's new and my clowns and engineer goby keep their color at night.

A lot of fish do that when they are trying to blend in at night. If it permanently stays that way then you likely have a problem, but this sounds normal.
