yellow tang in trouble?

ok so i have a 75G right now with 80lbs live rock, 2 falce perc. clowns and one yellow tang. Im kinda worried about the yellow tang. I feed twice daily and usually the tang would eat alot, the last two days he has eaten almost nothing. (he has like one little flake) i tired feeding dried seaweed but shows no interest to it so i feed formula one flakes. Today he started flaring up and jerking his body a little bit... not that much though, he is normaly a shy fish and when he feels he is being watched he only hides behind rocks then. Should i be worried about he behavior?

Got a picture? Is his stomach shrunken in? Have you tried using garlic to entice him to eat?

no his stomach has not shrunken in yet, but should i soak the seaweed in garlic? i have like bottled chopped garlic, should i soak it in that? and sorry... my wife has the digi cam on vacation.

Mix up a strong garlic solution, or buy some garlic xtreme or similar -- Selcon wouldn't hurt either, then just add a drop or two to the food. My yellow is happy to eat mysis, brine, cyclopeeze, etc. in addition to nori. The garlic may entice him to eat, and some people believe it is an immune booster, and selcon will provide additional trace vitamins and the like. Yellows are among the hardiest of tangs, but I'd take a very close look at him. Look for spots on or around his fins, eyes, gills. If you see any sign of disease such as Ich, get him in quarantine.

On short, say three-day, vacations, I'll sometimes leave my fish on a diet (no food) and they always do fine.

You've got more hobby experience than I do so, so I probably shouldn't mention to check your water parameters -- pH, salinity, nitrates, etc..
