yellow tang, missing tail fin

So this week I switched tanks. It went generally smoothly and over the last day all my fish have come out of hiding and are swimming around, except the yellow. I saw him behind the rockwork, but figure he wasnt ready to come out yet.

He just came out, and his tail fin is almost entirely gone. He is swimming weird, not quiet horizontal, but otherwise looks ok.

I would think something was biting him, but I have had the same livestock for a year, with no issues like this. The only thing I can think of is maybe he got hit by a rock while I was moving stuff around?

Has anyone seen a fish lose a tail in a day from disease, while appearing healthy otherwise?

My questions- what do I do? Will it grow back, or should I remove him and medicate with something?

I cant tell you why it's gone, but I can tell you that unless there is an ongoing problem still causing it to rot away, it will grow back just fine on its own. Fish fins regenerate very fast when they are healthy and being fed good.
