Yellow tang question

My yellow tangs poop looks very much like a ball of strings, is that normal?

he also ends up eating his own poop and others come pick at it as well.

I don't really know, all i can say is that they need enough algea/green food. And not too much protein rich foods.

Hmmmm, ball of stings doesn't sound right. Might want to give him spirulina and some algae sheets for a week to see if it changes.

Tangs sure are poop machines though. My chevron makes a "healthy" poop that puts debris in the tank that takes a half hour to clear. I do get an uncomfortable feeling when I see my Majestic munching on it. Seems beneath her LOL.

It's a type of algae "google" it. OSI makes a spirulina flake food that my tangs (and other fish) like.
