yellow tang with a kole tang????

I have a 4 x 2 x 2 reef tank and wanted to add a tang or two. In the past I have had multiple tangs together but almost always seem to cause chaos so I returned them to the LFS.

This time around I was only going to go for a yellow tang but would really love to add a kole tang also. Would I be able to add a yellow and kole tang at the same time in a 4 x 2 x 2?

Also would I be able to add any more fish once the tangs are added like mandarin blenny or gobys?

I would add any fish you want before the tangs. Make them the last additions, and a kole and yellow should be ok with each other. Add them at the same time though.

They would probably be just fine together, given enough space and rockwork for swimming/hiding. They are both on the smaller side for tangs, and usually have a pretty even temperament (compared to some other tangs). I would definitely add them last, and together, and it goes without saying that they should spend some time in a QT first (in hypo or copper). Tangs seem to be ich magnets, and you really don't want to nuke an entire tank with an ich infestation from the last two fish added.

ok I went ahead and got the yellow tang based off earlier replies, I know you should add tangs at the same time, but I also herd that if you introduce a different species of tang and smaller as well, then can have success. My LFS has very small kole tangs about 2 1/2 inches and would really love to add one, he also told me that if I were to add other fish like anthias it will be fine.

What are peoples thoughts on that?
