Yellow tangs BLEEDING..

Hi everyone,
I have two yellow tangs in QT now are bleeding for 2 weeks and have blood streaks running on fins and head. One tang is more severe and literally bleeding on bottom fin.

I tried API Triple Sulfa for 2 doses. Now waiting for 24 hours before the next two doses. Total 4 doses as it recommends. On the box of the med, it says "Hemorrhagic Septicemia: A bacterial infection of the bloodstream. Fish may show blood streaks on body and fins, bleeding (red patches) and localizing swelling." This matches exactly the symptoms on the tangs.

Please see pictures. Am I doing this right? Or do you think it is other disease?

I read a lot about bacteria infections and getting the dosage right and for the proper amount of time is important. Keep the treatment going you may not see results till the end just dont stop treatment prematurely.

I think Maracyn also treats this but I dont know which one of the top of my head. I would use maracyn before api. api products just seem cheap to me for some reason.

BTW make sure you keep o2 levels up I think low o2 can cause those signs too.

^1 important to follow antibacteria instructions.

is it eating ?? feed it alot, they loose quite alot of energy going through the antibiotic.

Furan-2 also treats this, using different active ingredients/antibiotics. Consider it a backup plan just in case the Triple Sulfa doesn't work.
