Yellow tangs in a 120?

I have a 120, 48"x24"x24". Would ideally like more than one YT, just 'cause they look good... How many can I realistically place in the tank? Also, I am wanting to either stock with a lot of wrasses r different tangs, e.g., hippo, blonde naso, tomini, and a purple. I'm also assuming that's a lot of nori to buy... Thanks for the feedback. The stocking on my tagline at the bottom is current.

I think your main issue is going to be compatibility. I've known people who have successfully kept a pair of yellow tangs; they acquired them young and introduced them together. I'm planning on attempting placing 2 black tangs in my tank in July. I've already made arrangements for rehoming one, should it not work out. You should probably do the same, in the event they are incompatible

If you are going to mix tangs go with different body types, less likely to have fights. Yes you can mix and have success if you get them at the same time and fairly small, but recently helped a friend partially tear down his 225 when his two small newly added purple tangs could not get along. Tomini and purple are going to be good size for that tank, the hippo and naso might eventually outgrow it but if you get them fairly small that wont be for some time.

I just added 2 YT to my tank, which has a lavander and Kole tang. The one YT is almost 4", the other is almost 3". I introduced them into the tank at the same time after the tank lights went out. Both were in the same tank (and only fish) at the LFS, got both for $50. Size of my tank is a 92 corner bow front, 120lbs of rock with about 10+ caves and tunnels. No fighting no chasing everyone living happy. Soon as I get my 180 running Ill move them into that!
