Yellow watchman goby question

Over the past week I've seen my YWG swimming around the tank something he it almost never does. he is usually at the bottom with my tiger shrimp. but I haven't seen him at all. do you think my shrimp might have died and that is why my goby has been leaving his burrow?

Well, my goby (Randall's) has apparently lost his tiger pistol friend. The tiger moved to the back of the tank and my goby is still in the old burrow. He looks lost

Once in a while ill see my watchman out of his burrow swimming around a bit but he always goes back under with his buddy candycane pistol

My yellow watchman goby has gone missing twice for almost a month each time then he comes back and I see him in a new spot he's done it so many times we renamed him Lazarus

My ywg sometimes swims around but usually at night. He will often perch on the highest rock and overlook his kingdom. After adding a kole tang he has been hiding more but has become more comfortable lately after a few weeks.

How long have you had your goby and shrimp pair? And have you changed your feeding routines at all?

I ask that because when I got my yellow watchman goby I used to just shoot the mysis shrimp into the gobys den area, but once I started just dumping the shrimp into the tank I saw him swimming around my whole tank especially at feeding time my pistol shrimp actually comes out with him sometimes

When I got my ywg he went through the overflow. I found him in the filter sock, alive. I put him back in the tank and I was thinking I need to do something about the overflow, right then he went back over. I retrieved him again and the overflow issue has been fixed.

I also have a Yasha goby and a pistol shrimp. The ywg sometimes stays in the same hole, all three together. Most of the time it's just Yasha goby with the pistol.

The ywg does swim around and acts weird like he's unhappy with the tank. I thought my ywg lost a few brain cells after going into the filter socks but I guess not as you guys report your ywg swims around also. I was serious thinking I had a nutty ywg. LOL

Mine goes through phases where he will swim all over mainly at night. I havent heard any clicks lately though so I am afraid my candycane shrimp may have died
