Yellow Zoas - Light and Food?

Anyone know anything about these yellow zoas? Like how strong of light they need and what they might eat?

Matt,

I saw some of these recently that looked exactly like that and they were growing and spreading. They weren't receding like they were dyed.

They are from Nam and under heavy aquarium light they will green up a bit. They will still hold a bit of yellow and get a hint of blue, if under uber light. Mine through the years have never held the yellow color, but I skim every now and then, you do not. They are yellow and still need to be up as high as possible-good luck

who said they are parazoanthus , i just meant mine looked like that after the lights broke on a tank and when i got light back on they kinda looks like the pic above.

What make u so sure they are not parazoanthus????????

The general concensus on these zoas, including opinions from people who are well known in our hobby, is that they have been stressed and probably light deprived. They say the telltale signs are the poorly shaped skirts and mouths. They also think the zoas will over time change color to it's true coloration (of course the color and intensity of my lighting will also affect their color) will develop. So these should be named zoa surprise. We'll see what happens.
