Yellowstripe cardinal group

Thinking about a small group (5-8) of yellow stripe cardinals for my 4x2x2

I dont expect them to shoal ling term as all my fish are small/peaceful

But i am worried they may pair off and fight or pick on/kill off the weakest.

Has anybody kept a group long term? What was the end result?

Any of the small lined cardinals are fine in a group, even if they start to breed. They are not nearly as aggressive toward each other as bangaii's are.

After time the tightness of their social group will loosen. They will remain in the general vicinity, but pairs will clearly be identified.
