Yellowtail blue damsel fish

I am very new to the hobby. I started cycling my tank over the early summer and added the first fish almost 2 weeks into August after it has been cycling for over a month. The first fish I added were 2 talbot's damsel fish and 2 yellowtail blue damsel fish and everything went well. After a period of time one of the talbot's didn't make it and a little later I added 3 blue/green chromis. The one yellowtail was a bit aggressive, but things calmed down pretty quickly and things have been fine for months. Yesterday I added 2 ocellaris clown fish and both yellowtails have gotten aggressive and are acting out against all of the other fish in the tank and I am concerned they are going to seriously harm our kill the other fish. I know now this can be normal for this species, but was not informed of this when I started and would have avoided these fish. I am looking for options for not getting rid of these fish. I was thinking I could remove them for a period of time and try reintroducing them later when the new clown fish got settled. Might this work, or am I fighting a losing battle. I eventually would like to add a few more fish over time as well. So, I need to make sure this is not going to be an ongoing issue. I would really appreciate any guidance on this matter and thanks in advance.

55 gallon with live rock. There are also some reef hermits, a few narcissus snails, and an emerald crab.

IME yellowtails can get a little aggressive, especially if they are first in the tank. They won’t ever cause damage that I have seen though. I prefer Azure damsels. They have always been less aggressive for me than the yellow tails. I have a dozen in my new 210g

In think tank is too small for the damsel because they would be territorial. I think you have to remove them surly.

I have had my 55 for 18 years and I have always had yellow tails and percs. Removing damels is great and then re introduce them. In my experieince the female perc with dominate the damsels and not them let get close to the eggs. onve they start laying. my female is at least 13 and the YT is at least 10.
