Yellowtail Damselfish

Keep us updated, I am interested. Now that I know mine is not a yellow tail this does not matter much, but the Azure Damsel I have is definitely aggressive when he finds a place to hide he likes and does not want any other fish into his spot. He stole the spot from one of my chromis and now at lights out, the chromis hides behind my return.

I always try to buy at least 2 juvenile ones. As they get bigger they seem to spend most of the time worrying about each other and don't pay attention to anything else. I've had really good luck with the captive bred Azures. I have three in with a copperband butterfly, pair of flame angels, blue star leopard wrasse, moyeri leopard wrasse, exquisite leopard, yellow coris, and a Melanurus wrasse. No problems at all.

True that some are model citizens, but this is a small tank at 45g.
I my experience, they MAY, get nasty when in a smaller area with higher competition for the same food......and sometimes it just works fine....we all know people who keep tangs in a tank this size and they claim it works.....so who knows.....

I'd love to do a Melanurus wrasse in my tank. I love the colors, and personality of the fish!
