I have been researching online about using this as a calcium supplement. A lot of the information I find is old or not very clear. I do notice there are plenty of people using this with success.

Here is the ingredients from the MSDS from the manufacture:

#1) I was curious, is less than 1% considered a lot or a little calcium bromide?

#2) What are the effects of potassium chloride on the tank?

#3) Lastly, is this safe to use? Obviously I will start slow regardless, but since that data sheet is from 2009-07, and it is 2.5 years later, maybe things have changed.

Agreed, bring it to the Chem Forum.

That is a lot of bromide, but it is unclear whether or not it is a problem. There was a sticky on the subject in the chem forum for a long time but it has gone away.
