OK, just got her today. She's a big girl- 5 inches tip to tail. That's her boyfriend's back at the front of the pic. She has been at the LFS since Xmas. Looked on death's door for most of the time since. She finally looks like she is getting stronger, so I took the chance. I picked up a male/subadult that came in with her back in january. They were listed as being bicinctus. I'm thinking more like akindynos or chrysopterus. What do you think???

Obviously not bicinctus, but here's where it gets tough. Assuming the male is the same one in your avatar, and the fact that they came in together, I would say akindynos. But, she sure looks more chrys.

I was a big help I know. I'll be curious to see what others feel.

She looks like a chrys, he (what I can see of him) looks like a akin. Not uncommon for someone to ship them as a "pair".

Id say Chrys, but the stripes look more like Akin when they get up there in age.

the male is not the same fish in my avatar- she's a "bluestripe" I got a while back, and is currently paired up with a sandaracinos.

I thought akin because ot the head stripe, but color and size more like chrys. The male has a nice orange belly like hers, just can't see it in this photo.
