(Yet another) Help with Reeflink

Alright, maybe someone can help me with my reeflink. It has not connected for a awhile, and it is getting old. So far today I have Powered it off then on numerous times, plugged in via USB and made sure wireless settings correct, updated firmware, changed settings to connect via ethernet and factory reset. I get the blue circle after reboot showing everything is ok, but ESL displays 'offline mode' and I cannot see my lights. Clicking on 'Reeflink' on ESL shows it as connected, but my external IP is empty. Checking my router, I can see that the reeflink has been issued an IP address. I am out of ideas, out of patience and tired of dealing with it. What is my next step besides violently throwing the reeflink against a wall?

I know there have been issues from the start with reeflink and ESL, and many people have labelled it junk and advised to just control it via my Apex. I already ordered a Vectra L1 for my system but am seriously rethinking that right now, especially since Ecotech is mum on the future of Apex integration with it.

What is the proximity of your reeflink to your tank? Interestingly enough I programmed and set up mine on usb power and had the best performance when it was about 10 ft away. I then switched to the plugged line before removing the USB which may or may not have been necessary. Now the reeflink is about 2 ft from my vortech and Vectra m1 controller. Using the ESL from a browser things were pretty quick. The app, which IMO is a much cleaner controller, not so much. I think the biggest issue is that I'm used to things working in milliseconds( I work for a mobile software company) and this can take minutes some times to write new programming to the controllers. I even had to force close the app multiple times before the app showed that it was connected and that the update progress actually worked. This type of interplay is exactly what I want in theory, wish it was a little less buggy.
