Yet ANOTHER Mantis ID

Hey guys........pretty new to this forum, and to saltwater. I've had this little guy for about 8 months now, and this is the best picture I've been able to get of him/her so far:

Does this help, or will I need to get a better shot?

If you look closely you can see the meral spots just barely-white with red streaks on periphery-So I'm gonna say G. viridis :)

I thought so! Thanks Dan!

Another question as well to anyone who can answer. I've only been able to get him to eat live feeder goldfish small enough for him to drag back into his hole since I've had him. I've tried thawed out pieces of krill, but he just smacks it and tosses it out of his hole. I've also put a few small hermit crabs and snails in there as well, but he won't eat those either. Any suggestions as to what else I could feed him? I'm sure feeder goldfish aren't the greatest diet for a mantis shrimp

No problem :) No feeder fish are not good at all. Just stop feeding it. Offer it frozen food everyday and leave the snails/hermits in, but don't feed it. They won't starve themselves to death. Don't offer feeder goldfish until at least 3 weeks. I wouldn't let it not eat much longer than that.

Even after the 3 weeks, it is better to feed it Mollies that are acclimated to SW and fed on SW or some type of freshwater (or saltwater) crustacean such as a small crayfish or a fiddler crab.
