Yosemite Spring Snow

I like the mountains and foggy clouds image. Killer reflection shot too. Do you guys ever go to Sequioa and Kings Canyon? (I think that is the names....more south of Yosem if I remember correctly)

I've only been down there once and it wasn't a great season/day. The parks are very close geographically but it's much further from me from a driving perspective.

I went to Sequoia/Kings Cyn on Saturday and Yosemite on Sunday (my first time w/ both parks). Sequoia NP was a LOT more peaceful and less crowded, which surprised me considering that it was a 3-day weekend. We drove to the end of 180 east towards Cedar Grove, which is VERY nice and a bit remote from the rest of the park. We stopped by Mist Falls and took some photos.

Sequoia is nice, but if I only have a limited time, I would definitely choose Yosemite.

yeah, Yosemite has those iconic views for sure. In Kings Canyon (or Sequoia) I saw my first lynx. That was exciting. Yosemite is spectacular, but like most of these place I prefer the off season. Bring on a little cold, and the people just disapear. For me that makes it all the better. Doug knows that place way better than me, but I found the entrance on the East side had some pretty spectacualar rock walls and Mono Lake to boot.
