this is current ( taken with no Actinics) but you will see that I have almost iradicated the Hair ... there is a very little bit clear right in the tank under the sieo... in a barnical shell

this was acomplished by weekly water changes ( basicly good house keeping that I was slacking on before) and plucking algae every day ..... and with the help of 3 emerald crabs .... I think that even if they dont eat hair algae that they pick at it and makes it have less of a hold..

oh and LMB dont eat hair algae..... :-) they eat rocks, fish food, the glass, sand, anything but hair algae ....... still fun to watch though. ( your milage may vary :) )

Good job on the algae, now how about getting a tripod so we can see your sweet tank better.

;)

I have never thought of my tank as "sweet"

I enjoy it tremendously just never thought of it as sweet ...
thanks.

as for the tripod I dont think it would help ...

the camera is close to 9 years old I think .... 1.3 megipix. very little options ... I would love to get one that shows just what I see..... all I get is blur with this one ( I know I know a trypod will help with that .... even setting on something I get blur ... it is a very slow proccessing camera and I think that is what is wrong .. the shutter is sooooooooo slow .

no sports setting

no sports setting

No luck on that .... I am assuming that doing so would speed up the shutter?

I know if I reduce the resiloution it will do that also ...This is an OLD camera and any thing that I do that reduces cpu time speeds up the shutter :-)

I should get a new camera maybe..... or I could buy more coral

you see my probems always come back to that ..

thanks for the advise.

does your digicam take 3.5in floppies? Mine takes them directly into the camara. That is why you never see pictures of my tank!

LOL congrats on the hard fought battle.

I'm the same way. Ever since getting a tank I now compare everything I purchase with how many corals I could have gotten instead.
