you guys with the sweet webpages...

So i have an ACII and run aquanotes and just got my webpage setup but it's just teh plain ole' basic default look. How are you guys getting these sweet pages? I see JJ and Allens are both lookin' pimp, how do i be a balla'?

I've emailed and pm'd him and didn't get a reply so i am gonna say he doesn't want to be bothered by me. Oh well, as long as i can see my status im cool.

He used to have the instructions and files on his website...since there not there anymore I wonder if he doesn't want to give it out for free anymore.

Maybe one of the guys (JJ or Allen) who has the "sweet" web sites can give you the files. Then you can modify them for yourself. I would be happy to help with the modifications.

Their sites are done in PHP, which I am not very familiar with. It would still be beneficial to have their PHP files to go from. I would then convert to MS ASP or ASP.net. I will probably do this for my tank as well since my ACII should be here tomorrow. If you are in no rush, I am willing to give it a shot.

Cool Joel, let me know what you come up with, im not looking for anything too fancy.....okay maybe a little fancy. I just want something a little cooler than the generic one that comes with aquanotes.

Just send all files you know of (zipped hopefully) to me, jtesdall@mapcon.com. I would imagine most of them will be .php files. I assume your website is hosted (lives) on your home computer.

Jeremy, I just got my ACII today (Thanks Matt). So give me a few weeks and I will see what I can come up with. I am a programmer, not a graphics designer so if one of you artsy guys would like to jump in - the water is sure nice.

Looks like the stock webpage is built with .asp

Doesn't look like dreamweaver likes .asp files much....i thought this was gonna be simple....

No dreamweaver use html and flash the last I knew but I don't use it. Yes, I noticed the stock stuff was MS FTP. I should have some news tonight, Allen and I are working on it. He pays to host his site, so we can talk about that later.

The files belong to Allen at this point. But I don't have a problem with it. Do you have any graphic design skills? Flash would be cool. We can tag team this if you like. I prefer the nut and bolts of this stuff as opposed to the aesthetics.

Funny story .... I was playing blackjack at the Rio in Vegas about 10 years ago. It was about 2-3 in the morning (who knows in Vegas) I turn around and who is standing behind me, yup Ron Jeremy and his entourage. I knudged my buddy and we both fell off of our chairs laughing because we didn't have to say a word, we both knew who it was! Of course the free liquor didn't have anything to do with us falling ......
