You on the wait list for the Vortech??

Just checking to see who else is in line. I'm on a few lists, but it appears that I'm still 5 weeks away from getting my first one.

Who else jumped onboard?

I was thinking about it, but want to wait until there is a little more feedback on them. FWIW, I'm not sold on the opinions of just the beta testers, as anyone given a 350 pump for free, to test, may tend to lean toward all :) . Also was unclear on the availability of a compatible controller (from Icecap) and a nozzle that allows the flow to be adjusted...if you don't mind me asking, what kinda $$ are they talking on these? I was reading MSRP of near 345$$ ?I do like the smaller profile, and no heat transfer.

I am expecting to pay $345.

As far as a nozel, I don't think so. This is a prop pump with a wide flow pattern.

The controller is an issue, that is in R&D right now I believe. But apparently any old WM will work.

I'm seriously considering 2 Votecs instead of a Dart CL...been hearing some issues with Dart quality...breakage in the first year and 3 degree temp increase.

From what Ive read the beta testers actually had to pay for thier pumps. Somewhere around the $250 range.

mako - ive noticed I cant get my tank temp down and am running a dart. I was trying to figure out why. That just might be the reason. Ill have to check it out.

There should be no heat issue with a pump like that. The impeller is away from the motor housing, the water sees no heat from the pump at all...
