Which pair of clowns would you pick?
*I already have 1 True Percula Clown, if this ends up to go true percula, can I buy 1 more and will they chase each other for a few days and pair up?*

So what will you do if Maroon is picked? Personally I'd do the percs.

I love the color and size of maroons. But they arent as easy to pair and can frustrate when they move a whole tanks worth of sand to one side or pick up all the frags in one spot and move them to unreachable areas... but I still love they attitude and the host nems alot easier it seems.. I guess im partial because i own two maroons.. or, well, they own me lol

Couldn't decide myself--have a pair of each (although, I did get the maroons paired up first). The percs are cute and sweet, the maroons are bold and bossy. I like both.

i love maroons they have lots of personality but i am hooked on the rods reef onyx clowns buy a small one and pair it with the clown you have

The Black Onyx True Percula Clownfish originates from the reefs of Papua New Guinea, and are a hard find in the trade. They are a beautiful species of clownfish with the classic patterns of black, orange and white. The female of the pair is the larger of the two fish, and will also be the aggressor of the two. This is an uncommon find, and will add beauty to any saltwater fish only or reef aquarium. The Black Onyx True Percula Clownfish does best in an aquarium of 30 gallons or larger with plenty of live rock. They may form relationships with the following species of anemones; Carpet (Stichodactyla sp.), Sebae (Heteractis crispa), Bulb (Entacmaea quadricolor), or Ritteri (Heteractis magnifica). Always be sure that your aquarium and lighting system will support the needs of the host anemone before incorporating one into the aquarium. The Percula Clownfish, like several other clowns, can be bred in the aquarium, and is one of the most common "starter" fish for saltwater breeders. They will typically spawn within the proximity of the base of the host anemone. The fry are very small after hatching and must be fed rotifers or natural copepods in order to survive. In nature, the Percula Clownfish is an omnivore. Offer a varied diet of mysis and vitamin enriched brine shrimp, and a quality flake food.

the rods onyx would be a perfect fish for your true perc here are my new ones they come nice and small

So if I would get a onyx one they would pair? Since they are both true percs just one says onyx on its name? Mine actually has black on him like that, he was sold as a True Percula Clown though so I don't know if its onyx or what.
So if I get one, can they pair in the tank with other fish? I want a tang or 2 in there with some chromis or anthias maybe. In the bigger tank of course. If not, do they need to go in the tank first and stay there for around a few weeks until they get paired?

the onyx is just a name and the theory of the rodonyx is his onyx are darker black and have black dorsal more often so they are true onyx and the wild cought tru perks with the black are called soloman island tru perc
