Since I've recently resurfaced on RC, I thought I'd stop in and say hello anyhow.
I got my start in reefing with the help of many of you good people about 4 years ago. I had to dismantle and sell my set up in 2007 to move abroad, due to a work opportunity.
Lately I've been itching to get back into it, so I've found a couple UK-based reefing forums, started looking at the LFS here in Edinburgh, and started researching the sorts of equipment recommended here in the UK; lots of what's available in the US is not available here - like Air, Water, & Ice and ASM to name a couple - and vice versa. Also, it certainly seems like some new things have come on the market over the last 2 years since I've been out of the hobby. Since life's pretty hectic right now (and I'm living in a rented flat) I'm looking to keep things relatively simple, so I'm seriously considering an all-in-one system (namely the Red Sea Max 250), something that wasn't a good option 4 years ago.
Anyhow, I hope everyone's well. I see a lot of familiar names and a lot of new ones. Hope you're all enjoying the St. Louis summer. It'll probably sound like I'm gloating to say it rarely gets much above 72 here, but I'm not - I'm quite tired of needing to wear a coat or jacket, at least in the morning and evening, every single day of the year, and I find myself missing a real summer!
Best wishes,
Kelly
