Well woke up this am and looked at the temp in the tank.
67.4 degrees
should I
A) buy a bunch of catalina gobies and other thermaly challenged species
or
B) but a heater

thanks

andy

92 gallon tank 50 gallon sump
? watt heater would you recomend

I keep my tank at 67-68 all the time its cheaper. I do have 3 -250w heater as well. I figure its cheaper to run the tank where it averages . My tank will get down to 74-75 if I let it

Joe keep my tank at 67-68 all the time ????
Do you have your Temp reversed.?

i think a little dislexia or not enough coffee is an issue,,,
yup time for a heater... I would love to have to run one all the time but I have to use fans to keep it between 79 and 81.... cant justify the jump in electic and cost of a chiller....yet

I have to run a chiller to keep mine at 78
I tried w/o but it's just not possible.(3 400w + actinics really bring some heat into the pic.

The lowest mine has dropped this weekend in 78-79. Chiller clicks on at 81. Apparently, 1" thick acrylic insulates pretty well.

My tank remained at 81 during this past cold spell. No heater. Like Jeff said, the Acrylic keeps the temp very stable.
At least one plus......:D
