Your experiences with Squarespot Anthias

Does anyone have any experience with Pseudoanthias pleurotaenia (Squarespot Anthias)

I have read they do better on their own, and they get fairly large. That's ok for me, I would more or less like to know how they are with tank mates. Will females change to male, as with other anthias?

Here is what is in the tank now:

-Lyretail Anthias - I have 2 now. I will have 6-8 by the time the Squarespot is in the tank.
-Pair of Percula Clowns
-Blue Jaw Trigger
-Powder Blue Tang
-Yellow Tang
-Green Mandarin
-Sixline Wrasse
-Watchmen Goby
-Dragonfaced Pipefish

I also have a large Fire Shrimp, Harlequin Shrimp, and some peppermints. I wouldn't miss the peppermints if they were to get eaten though honestly.

I also have a Neon Goby..... but to be honest he lives in the overflow box, not the main tank.

My tank is an oceanic 180 gallon (6x2x2). I have a Poseidon PS4 return, 2 Vortech Mp40W, and 2 Koralia #3 for in tank circulation.

The tank is fed 3 times a day. I run a MSX300 and Vodka/MB7 Dosing. Tank temperature stays between 78.5-79.1

Thanks!

I have kept one with poor results. Had it reserved at the LFS for two weeks. Was eating well and had good body weight. Took it home to my quarantine tank, hid in the live rock and rarely came out. Only saw it eat twice. Died after two weeks. From what I understand they are rather delicate even by anthias standards and are deepwater fish and the bright lights of our reef tanks stress them out. I will not try this species again.

They are nice to keep all though they do get very aggressive with other anithas. Only one male per tank. It will chase female for a couple hours but should be okay after that.

i have one in my tank right now just bought him from the lfs. he is eating well and is very shy. he always hides under caves or behind my rocks right now because my lights are so bright i assume. i can get him out only during feeding time and trying to train him to come out with food. he does come out when theres just natural light hitting the tank.

GL!
