Your forgotten fish?

We all that that fish (maybe more than one) that you just sort of forget is there. Maybe it hides all day, maybe you've had it so long you just hardly notice it anymore.

What's your "forgotten" fish? Mine is my single blue/green chromis. I like it, but I just hardly ever notice it - even though it's always front and center. And yet when I actually do look at it, I realize how pretty it is.

What's yours?

I have 3. Not really forgotten, but they are in our smaller bedroom tank so they don't get as much attention and face time as our main tank downstairs. Ocellaris clown, banded sleeper goby, and matted file fish.

Lawnmower Blenny. He blends into the rock so well that I never notice him. He's my daughter's fish (named him "Fat Fish") though and she always knows where he is.

Not a fish, but still along the same lines. I had a peppermint shrimp that was used to control some aptasia when I first started out. It did a great job but then one day I just didn't see him anymore. Months later I was moving some rock around and there it was, scooting away from my disturbance. I guess he just hid well in the rock work and got food as it floated around.

I have a pair of clowns that have taken up residence behind the base of a rock structure near the corner overflow. I occasionally see them if they come out to feed but otherwise hardly see them at all.

I wouldn't say he's forgotten, but I have a Pajama Cardinal that just hovers over the same area (front right of tank). He'll venture over the the middle during feeding, but even then he waits for the food to come to him. It's funny how slow he moves most of the time, but I've also seen him dart in a flash if startled.

+1 my fireshrimp never comes out. I have a large cave and he sits upside down 99.99% unless mysis is swimming by.

My 6 line wrasse hides a lot and he's always the last to get food. He used to be out more when it was him, a small 2"Tomini, and the 2 clown fish in a square 56 gallon with no anem. He'd harass the clowns a bit from time to time. Now he's in a 120 with a rabbit fish, a couple of tangs and now that the clowns have a big RBTA they lounge in 24/7, he's real shy. He doesnt even harass the orange spot goby. My cleaner shrimp is always the most front and center inhabitant. When he sees me, he wants the food! He usually climbs on my arm while its in the tank.

Watchman goby. I see him dart out to grab some food every few weeks, and am always mildly surprised that he's still there.

Not a fish but I always forget that I have a gold ring cowria so when I see it and its mantle is covering its body i'm just like "Is that my cuke's HEAD!?"

Mine hovers in one spot too, but it hovers in the back left corner. Why do they do that?

My entire freshwater tank -20g planted with large black angel (very pretty for freshwater) and dwarf pleco (total jerk and seldom seen). I think its about a month overdue for a water change. I have tried to give the fish away with no luck.
