Your Ideal tank

I always thought it would be awesome to have a really TALL tank, like a 60x24x48

It would be awesome to have fish tank from your waist up above eye level, no leaning down to see into the tank...it would be awesome! (until it came time to work on it LoL)

That said, I'll keep my 58g for now..maybe someday I'll get a longer tank but the other dimensions are great!

Umm well if money wasnt in a problem I would go to 50,000 gallon shark tank with some black tip reef sharks...possibly even a few larger species....along with large groupers....

Seperate tank for a few sea turtles with a private legal permit to own them

Oh and did i mention a 500g reef tank....that is fully automated with self diagnosing software so if anything breaks I automatically get an email....

To get your rock off of the substrate try using wide diameter pvc pipe.
Most of my rock is off the substrait on PVC pipes covered in cement. But I want to make it all off the substrait.

They used to be legal and babies were not that expensive. Of course it would be a stupid thing to put in your tank especially when they grew to 400 lbs and eat jellyfish

My ideal tank...hmm...how many gallons is the ocean?

Ideal isn't possible with me. I love wayyy to many tanks. I love cubes, shallow reefs, deep/wide reefs, etc...

I stay sane by simply buying what I love now, using and then selling. I then buy and start over again. I do this with all my hobbies as I start to grow bored with them.

I would have a cube 36"x36"x14" with a foam rock wall that provided filtration and space for corals eliminating the need to stack or build any rock structure

Well since this is just a dream....I would want:
- Custom rimless cube: 48" by 48" by 20" tall (I believe thats about 200 gallons)
- 2x vortech mp40's
- ATO, all reactors and dosing pumps, etc
- 4x 250 metal halides with pheonix 14k's
- 4 actinic reefbrite LED strips 48"
75 gallon sump, Reefkeeper elite with all probes

I also think it would be pretty cool to turn a swimming pool into a reef pool
