Your prices is too high

Hi,
I am interested in some of your diver den's fish, but the prices are really too high. Other online stores are selling the goldflake angel for $249.99 and you are selling for $399.99 and a pair of True Percula are around $99.99 and you are selling for $199.99. so on and so on. I know your fish are health and I don't mind paying a little premium ( and also shipping). but it is almost double what other are asking. Just a suggestion.

Of course if you find an equivalent animal with equivalent health and equivalent guarantee, you should purchase from that Vendor. Personally, my experience with LA has been very positive and I am unwilling to buy a cheaper animal elsewhere.

Perculaclown and Snorvich,

Thank you for your comments and suggestions. We feel very strongly in the quality of our specimens, and our Diver’s Den allows our customers to purchase premium livestock exactly as pictured. We work very hard in making sure that only the healthiest and highest quality items are available, and take great lengths in our selection, quarantine, and care procedures to ensure the fish will make a smooth transition into the home aquarium.

I agree. Maybe a bit expensive on some, but look at their helfrichi firefish as an example. Listed at 249 and Diver's Den for 169. I want a magnificent foxface and they have them at 59.99 and up whereas their Diver's Den section magnificent foxface are at 150.

I would still get the one for 150 since Live Aquaria has top of the line quality.

Hint: Get a magnificent foxface in :D

Is it really $200 for a pair of perc. clowns I believe I what I have seen ranged $129 - $149 on diver's den? $200 might be Onyx? They still got sold in a few days that tells you there are demand for it.

I can tell you LiveAquaria fish and corals always arrive very well, often tripple bagged and quad bagged with black bag to calm the fish, they probably think it's just one long night. Alot of water, I filled up a good portion of 5 gal bucket just from unpacking a couple boxes of livestock.

The fishes are usually stress free and ready to eat once they know your tank.. fish such as damsels and clowns will eat right away. Oh yea, their fish are usually flawless not a nick or nip on them.

Ya, their livestock is top of the line, but if you want clowns, just go get 2 small ones and one will turn female and you will have a pair. Small being maybe 3/4" to 1".

I bought a queen angel from them and it was dead on arrival. I do agree their customer service is top of the line, they refund me with no question asked. But still, I wish their pricing can be more affordable.

I have ordered for LiveAquaria many many times and I think that they have the best customer service anywhere (etropicals too). Their prices are quite competitive with other oneline sites and even local stores but they go to great lengths wo make sure that their livestock is top notch. True some of their Divers Den stuff is expensive but the amount you might spend on fish elsewhere that die and replace them might just make it worthwhile. They even are familiar with the collectors themselves which I find amazing. Its all worth while to me.

I think price fluctuate quite a bit and if you are comparing the goldflake angel price you must also look at the size. When I saw it at LA 2 nights ago I thought it was kind of high too till I saw that it's 4 3/4" and if you are comparing price to SWFdotcom theirs are about 3" (I got one from them last Sep for $249 and since i've only seen them have it in stock one other time and yes I've been on their email list). Last week I received 2 multicolor angels from LA purchased through the diver's den section for $79.99 each and found that SWFdotcom has it for $99 but not in stock and everywhere else has it bet $140-170.

Every online retailers price is very different and you have to decide how much you are willing to pay for the quality/size difference. The thing I like about the diver's den section is that you know exactly the size your getting not like bet 1 1/2 to 3".

LiveAquaria--if you have more multicolor angel at $79.99 or less I would like 2 more.

Thank you all for your compliments regarding our company and customer service. It is our goal to make each and every experience with our company a pleasant one. We do go too great lengths to ensure the quality and health of our specimens, and that the prices are appropriate for each item advertised.

flameangel88,

Thank you for your inquiry regarding additional Multicolor Angels and we are happy to hear you are pleased with them and looking for additional ones. We will check with our Aquaculture Coral & Marine Life Facility to see when we expect to receive this species. As soon as we receive further information, we will post it in this thread.

flameangel88,

Great News! Our Aquaculture Coral & Marine Life Facility staff has informed us that “a few more” Multi-Colored Angelfish should be ready to post on Diver’s Den by the end of this coming week. The price will again be $79.99.

I'll be looking for some too.

LA, what is your QT regimen? How long are fish in QT and is it actual QT, ie, hypo to kill ich or do you just put them in with other fish and watch them and if they live for two or three weeks do you offer them up for sale? Just curious. Thanks.

Freed,

This is a very good question and actually has been addressed in the past by our Director of Live Aquaria Kevin Kohen. You may wish to view the post here:

Ginger,
Perhaps Monday,----- Kevin or Steve can address the marine fish quarantine procedures as they vary by species and in some instances may be months.. Your link is mostly about corals. Thank you for responding and Freed, thanks for the question.

Good Afternoon,
I have started a new post that details our quarantine procedures for the fish that we house at our facility in Rhinelander Wisconsin. Please see the following post:

Quarantine Procedure for Fish
