yeah, great choice on the tune
are you planning on adding any more rockwork? it's pretty cool as is, but i wonder how it might look with some more structure in the tank.

I do plan to add much more rock, but I am in no rush to get it. I will probably add some rocks here and there every once in a while.

Yes it is Finnex, It is a very nice light, I got a good deal on it too!

:lol: Yeah they are huge! And eat a ton too. I have had them for about 3.5 years, they were my first saltwater fish. When I got them they were no bigger than 2 inches, and now the large one is about 14 inches and the other around 12 inches...So that means they still have another foot to go!!:bigeyes:

Amazing thread. Just caught up. Congratulations, your tank is much cooler than your inspiration from the first page. And you're not even done yet! I'm loving how in the third pic, the Vlamingis make the shark in the background look teeny. Do you have any other pics that show the tangs in comparison to the size of the shark?

I thought I was going to have to fish out the tangs in the 180! Those little buggers were hard to catch!

Yeah the Vlamingiis do make the shark look tinny, I will try to get some pictures with a good comparison between them.

I just read this on Wikipedia:
"Unlike most fishes, the daily activity pattern of the horn shark is under exogenous control, meaning that it is regulated by environmental factors rather than by an internal physiological cycle. Observations of captive horn sharks show that the relevant cue is light intensity: the sharks become active immediately after the lights are turned off, and stop as soon as they are turned back on. In one experiment where the sharks were kept in darkness, they remained continuously active for 11 days before slowing, possibly from fatigue. In nature, horn sharks exposed to a bright light at night may stop swimming and sink to the bottom."
Have you observed him with the lights out at all? It would be pretty neat to see how much truth there is to this.
