In the aquarium trade, zebra mantis can be any of a number of Lysiosquillids. Almost all members of this group have yellow and black or brown transverse stripes. The most common is Lysiosquillina maculata which occurs from East Africa to Hawaii and can grow to nearly 40 cm in length.
