Zebra Moray

I was recently told that a zebra moray would be able to fit in my 90 gallon tank. Are they able to handle high lighting in the aquarium, and what would that mean for my ability to keep inverts such as cleaner and pistol shrimp, snails, and hermit crabs?

As far as the lighting goes, I have 2X Kessil A150 LED pendants on my zebra's tank which are pretty bright. They have 2 large LR caves, and spend 95% of their time in one of them. No change in their behavior since the upgrades from 90 watts of PC to marineland double bright LED strip, to the Kessils. I would say that as long as you have enough places for them to completely conceal themselves (which of course you would do anyway), they do fine under relatively bright lighting. As for inverts, I have never tried keeping them with shrimp, but suspect that it would go badly. They have never bothered any of my hermits, snails, or tridacnid clams. Was concerned about my 2.5" maxima at first, but they ignore it completely.

Here's a pic from a couple weeks ago. Had a little cyano bloom after being away for the holidays and forgetting to adjust my skimmer accordingly...

Snails in general should not be a problem. Not sure about hermit crabs. Shrimp will most likely get eaten.

I was just looking around, and would a chain link be a better option? I really like the zebra, but would the chain link be better suited?

Just added a 17" Zebra to my 75g. seems pretty happy, eating clam meat, squid, and scallops already.
