ZeeSparrow's 75G LPS tank build

They look great, both active and eating (and making quite the mess of the QT) ;). The larger of the two has claimed the terra cotta pot for bedtime. The smaller one is fine in the PVC.

And they're both still in QT. They can wait until the weekend. As can I.

I'm jealous of your patience. Which will be rewarded.

They're darn hard to get a picture of... But here is one.

And I forgot to log test results:

6/16/15 (yesterday)
NO3: ~10
PO43-: 0
SG: 1.0255
Temp: 81.1F (lowered thermometer setpoints)

6/17/15
Mg: 1260
Ca: 430
dKH: 8.3
SG: 1.0255

Forgot to check temperature before I pulled the water out of the sump (where the thermometer is...oops). I'll be checking that, and testing again tomorrow. Might have to bump up that Mg.

Yes those clownfish are. They are so wiggly and squirmy and you never know when they'll suddenly move out of the frame!

Best pics are when they've found a host and are just sitting in it. When they are out and about they just won't sit still! LOL.

I'm hoping the Xenia I'll get soon will be home to them in the future.

How big are your clownfish? Mine are only about an inch long...one being maybe 1 1/4". They have a ways to go, but I wanted to make sure I got two that will pair up and the younger you start the easier it goes.

Looking forward to pics of them.

One's MUCH larger than the other. Smaller one's probably about the same size as yours... other one is twice the size. If not more.

ZeeSparrow's 75G LPS tank build

They're still settling in. Spent the first day at the back of the tank. Yesterday they hung out by the mag float; early this morning I caught the black and white at the front but it was back by the mag float when the lights came on.

Here are a few pics.

Cool.

Bizarre where they like to hang out isn't it? I mean they have all this real estate, with caves and ledges and all kinds of natural things they could call "home", and yet mine like to hang out way up in the upper left or right hand corners where there is nothing but glass. No wonder they are called clowns. ;)

Yep except mine hang out in the lower left corner. At least I can see them there. Though they rush behind the rocks if they get spooked.

New fish in QT. [emoji1]

I love lawnmower blennies. VERY interesting creatures (that is what it is right?). Firefish are VERY cool. Mine loves to hang out in his cave and comes out at feeding time waiting for food to flow by and snag.

What's the flower pot in the tank for?

Yep that's a lawnmower. Although he's more like a decoration at the moment because he isn't too interested in the food I put in for him.

The firefish has chosen under the heater as his safe spot. Lol. He came out to eat this morning and then right back under it.

I put the terra cotta in the tank for the clowns, as the one had claimed it during qt. I thought maybe they'd like it back. They seem quite content with the mag float instead so I'm going to remove it.
