hey, i was thinking about grabbing some ZEOvit to put in my tank and i had a couple of questions.... 1) is it one of the best for removing phosphates? 2) do you just pour the media into your sump or filter sock? 3) how often do you have to change it? 4) and lastly...does it really work? thanks

There is a thread floating around here somehwere about this stuff.

BTW you really should give people more then 12 minuets to answer your question before bumping your thread ;)

I was told that it does work... but it is very expensive... and you cant stop using it... once you start....

I am not an expert... and this response is all just hear-say

This is probably much better suited in the SPS forum. I know a number of the Zeo users hang out in there. I am happy to move the thread there if you want.

you can stop anytime you want, if you want to,

The zeolite part of the zeovit system is supposed to be placed into a reactor (which can be a simple DIY thing)...not sure I've seen anybody use zeo without a reactor of some sort. Are you sure you don't have room for a reactor? These can be external, in-sump, or even hang-on-back if you really wanted to (though I don't know if there is a commercial one like this available).
