Just started my tank up again after being down for about a year.. I was reading into the zeovit kits.. does anyone here run one locally or have any personal experience with them..
My side tank is zeovit, just experimenting now so can't comment on long term I recently had a problem but it was my fault because I let alk get to high.
Ok just purchased the kit from BRS.. after researching it for hours.. going to give it a shot.. how was it initially when started? I know the first 2 weeks can be pretty busy.. I just set the 300 back up.. I have 3 clowns and small purple tang so bioload is very minimal.. and since it's a new tank they say now is the time
Zeovit is setup and it's not as time consuming as I thought.. takes about a minute to shake reactor and dose .. it's only been a week and I have a little of a clear brownish algae growing on some of the rocks and a little on sand bed.. tank isn't even 2 months old so I'm guessing it's part of a transition cycle.. the kit says not to use live sand.. I took a gamble cuz I had one dry bag of sand and 2 "live" bags.. some systems have used live sand with out any issues.. let's see how t goes.. hopefully it's gone after the first 2 weeks of startup..
Water in my tank is crystal clear. I had a little hiccup where my alk got to high but I'm cruising again. Montis look great acros look meh. Debating starting supplements but want to hold off on that as much as possible. I have everything just waiting to pull the trigger. The basic 4 is not a big deal at all. Takes a minute. That might change when dosing like 10 blue bottles lol
