ZeroEdges “new” tank Get an edge does it work?

Hi

I have now read some of the post of RC regarding the ZeroEdge Calssic and all the pros and cons.
I can see on their webpage that they have a new tank setup, the Get An Edge series.
I really like the idea behind the design but not a fan of the old overflow features.
Has anyone see the new setup or better maybe own one?
Hope someone out there has some insight.

The get an edge tank is basically just a normal rimless tank with soft, rounded edges to it and a good ol' overflow. I haven't been able to track down the patent application for their supposedly "patent pending" smart flow design to be able to say much about the overflow itself. Personally, I would take a regular rimless with an overflow rather than the get an edge series. It'll cost less and likely end up being nicer and more user friendly. That being said, I'd love to get one of the classics. I think they're awesome, even with their cons.

Arh sorry to hear that your buddy is struggeling with his tank. What problems does he have with it?
happy holidays ;=)

The classics are a really cool idea, but it looks to me like it would be very tricky in practice - you'd have to have the tank a lot closer to perfectly level than we normally manage to achieve to get even flow over all sides. It seems to me that waves (from water movers) could cause uneven flow over the front pane that would affect viewing. Also, it would become necessary to scrape algae from both the inside and outside. Kinda cool, but ...

The "Get an edge" looks pretty normal except for the rounded edges - it'd be interesting to see what the design feature is that allows them to claim it's "salt-creep free," since this is generally my complaint with rimless tanks in general. (My tank is partially rimless.)

Stay away. Stay far far away. I've owned one of the 22gal ones.
I had an absolutely horrible experience with zero edge and their owners. The system was just too small, the sump was so small and you had to run 900 gallons per hour through it to get the water to fall over the edge. This created massive microbubble problems that I could never get rid of.

Definitely a sharp tank. I have seen one of the older models (i think it was that one in the pic) in person a couple years back. Looks real sharp, but every time I passed it something on me would be wet without me knowing it.

Looks nice but I wouldn't want to own it.
