couldnt tell anything from that pic.

here is a nudi. you will find them primarily on your polyps but they will roam some as well. they can be many different colors

thanks for the pics, i have not seen any of those,do they appear in day or night?

are there any other things that could cause this issue

from my experience they come out at night. If you can just drop the frag in a tub of RO water for 2 minutes then give it a good shake. If you got em their dead bodies will come crashing off.

freshwater doesnt kill them unless you dipped them for long enough to kill the polyps as well, ,and it doesnt do anything to the eggs nor the ones hiding deep that possibly dont get shaken off

there are remedies for nudibranch, but freshwater isnt one of them nor is it even nearly as effective as simply taking a pair of tweezers and plucking out what adults you can see and scraping eggs

well it killed the ones off my zoas instantly (the water was at 60 compared to 77 in tank). it is true that it does nothing for they eggs. Its also possible that I have others in the tank. FW is not the solution but it is a good diagnostic tool. Eggs will look like a C shaped gel with white specks in it. You can remove those by taking a soft toothbrush and breaking the sack that holds the eggs.

if this is not a nudi what else could make my zoas react this way

spiders, sundials, fungus, bacteria, VD, PMS......??

hard to say without a better pic and more info. Like everything you can think of from how long you have had them to how much lfow they are in and how long they have looked like that

What a freshwater dip IS good for is identifying the presence of pests. I highly recommend NOT dipping your polyps in cold water as suggested, but if you ever do dipget soem good freshwater(RO if your tapwater sucks) to temp and give them a quick dip and swish and it can sometimes make your foes show themselves.

From what I can see in your pic, a pest of any kind wouldnt be one of my first guesses at whats wrong, and from what I can see Im not sure anything is wrong to begin with. And dipping them at this point may possibly just stress them further and do more harm than good. Again, hard to say with what weve got so far

i have had them for going on 3 months

they have moderate flow, but by no means high(should they be in higher flow?)

the colony that is worse shape started it's decent thursday or friday, and the other group has just one polyp that started closing up today.

if you cant tell from the pic the polyps are very small now and not completly closed.

what other info can i give?

i really appreciate your help

if u have nudis try a yellow coris wrase long time a go be fore i learned about dipping my corals i had them i got my self 2 yellow coris wrase and cleaned them right up
