Zoa eating spiders?

Can anyone ID these weird white tentacles? I'm assuming they're zoa eating spiders, when I touch them with the tweezers they don't move at all. The zoa frag WAS opened and looking swell before I pulled it (outside of the algae bits). None of my other frags show this, and I've never seen this before.

The frag is currently quarantined. I tried a freshwater dip and once again the white tentacles didn't move any. I don't want to pull them off and harm the zoas themselves if it's actually just part of it. But if they are spiders I do want to make sure they're gone.

They look more like sponges to me.

Probably sponges. A zoa predator will have the same color/pigment of the zoa itself.

I pulled off what I could and the zoa hadn't changed any so I figued I was safe. I moved the frag back into my main tank and before I could do anything my darn mantis shrimp STOLE the frag from my tongs and promptly took it into his burrow.

First time he ever bothered my corals and zoas ever. I am sure he thought I was feeding him but yeah... Frag is lost to the abyss now. Maybe he'll kick it back out
