Zoa id question

I noticed this after the lights went out on the side of a rock. It is growing straight off the side of a rock. It is purple almost like my zoas when they close up. It is the purple finger thi gs off the rounded corner of the rock in the photo.

Not as of yet. It is starting to turn up toward the lights though. All though my light sucks right now. Hopefully I get the call that the t5 setup has come in tomorrow.

Really lights are the key to anything. Im no expert by no means but I have noticed when I get new polyps there not opened up real good right away

Yea I keep getting told they will be in tomorrow or next week. I am startinh to think about canceling the order and getting them from the internet if they don't come In this week. I need the lights. I have been wothout for a month or so and had to use a t8 10k single bulb light. So very little is opening.

I just went from an aquatic life 6 bulb t5 fixture which is a very nice light to leds. Only reason that I switched was because it gets costly to replace bulbs. And the quality of bulbs has a lot to do with your corals also. I changed over a month ago and they make colors pop that Ive never seen before. And growth seems to be doing good on my sps also under the leds

From everything that Ive been told and read for coral its consistancy on your water parameters and lighting

I was going to do leds but can't swing it right now. I had a line on a used one but I couldn't find the manufacturer anymore. So I passed since I couldn't get any parts for it anymore. At least this way I am able to get help if I need it. Once it comes in that is.

Oh I completly understand that it took me a while to upgrade to leds
