so lately ive been noticing that 2 specific colonies of zoos have been, well thinning out.
ive checked for nudis, all sorts of stuff. Nada.
then the other night, i see this one weird *** hermit crab, crawling along this piece of sps i have, and he seemed to be picking at it.
weird. this guy is all white, and HAIRY. the only color on him is his eyestocks and antennaa are purple.
i saw him at the lfs, and figuring that my mantis shrimp would cause a short life expectancy, i was like "gimme that one", hes cool lookin
so ive kinda been frekin out about the whole sloly depreciating zoo population.
last night, i notice that this one frag of theses tri color zoos that i moved the night before, has like 1/2 the polyps it did the night before.
so i move it, and only to behold, the hairy albino hermit is clinging to the underside...
so i knock him off, he immediatly charges the colony again like, its food and or shelter.
so homeboy's been bannished to the skilter filter chamber with the spounges and macro algae.
my question is has anyone ever heard of hairy white hermit crabs that eat corals?
